Mr. Meghraj Gandhi
Mr. Meghraj Gandhi was born in the small town of Ghewra, near
Jodhpur, Rajasthan. At the tender age of 15 years, Mr Meghraj
Gandhi moved to Surat with the intention of serving the community.
Working on the principle that "hard effort pays off," he ventured into
several business visionaries and found success in each. Soon after, he
established himself as an inspirational member of Surat's developing
"Bhavan" community. He first ventured into business in the textile
industry, and then he and his sons, Mr Ranidan Gandhi and Mr
Rakesh Gandhi, got into the Real Estate Development Sector. His
third son, Mr Pavan Gandhi, is currently managing the textile
business initiated by Mr Meghraj Gandhi.
Mr. Meghraj Gandhi, inspired by his father, Mr Rawatmal Gandhi and
his desire to see children from all backgrounds receive a quality
education, founded the Gandhi Education Trust in 2005. In 2007, he
opened the RMG Maheshwari English High School in Parvat Patia,
Surat, under the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education
Board. Another branch of RMG Maheshwari English High School was
opened in the year 2013 at Ladvi Village. The CBSE Board accredits
this branch.
Mr. Meghraj Gandhi was an active member of the Surat Region
Chamber of Commerce for two years. He is kind and generous,
waiving fees for families that otherwise couldn't afford them. The
people of Ghewra, in the Jodhpur area, bestowed the honour of
"Bhamasha" upon him.
